Large commercial aluminium window replacement in Central Brighton was the work of a three-man team which required specialist heavy-duty hinges for safe and secure installation.
The window had been caught by the heavy winds and the old hinges had buckled under the weight of the window which was three floors up overhanging the walkway below. This created a high risk situation for residents and deadly hazard for passersby alike.
LBP Locksmiths exercised careful handling as the window was heavy in weight. We first by deglazing the window and then we removed the glass to reduce weight. We then moved the window inside the property and laid it on dust sheets to protect the customer’s carpet. There, we fitted new specialised heavy duty hinges and rehung the window, then refitted and calibrated the glass to ensure good insulation and smooth operation.
